I'm experimenting with typesetting a short SATB choral piece without
barlines with lilypond-1.3.38, but:
1. If I set \property Staff.barDefaultType = "empty" I still get bar lines.
2. If I set \property Score.barDefaultType = "empty" I get no bar lines, but
I also lose the bracket grouping the four staves, as well as my first volta
bracket. The second volta (i.e. from the repeat to the end of the piece) is
fine.
I've experimented with noBarAuto, but then I get no line breaks, so lily
fails.
I'm stumped. I don't know if I've come across a bug or if I'm just doing
something wrong. Any ideas?
