These are great news :).  I just compiled and installed
libextractor&gnunet, but now GNUnet doesn't detach from the terminal any
more.  looking at the logs, it seems like gnunet startup is complete:

  Dec 24 11:55:52 MESSAGE: `gnunetd' starting
  Dec 24 11:55:54 MESSAGE: `gnunetd' startup complete.
  Dec 24 11:56:16 INFO: Decrypting message from ...

"ps Haux" also lists lots of newly created GNUnet threads.

My server is currently running some backup scripts, so gnunet-stats
reports:

  % of allowed cpu load : 243

Could this be the reason for GNUnet failing to detach?
