I'm at the point of installing the Gtk+-based graphical user interface on top 
of the production installation.
command:
~/gnunet_installation/gnunet-gtk$ ./configure --prefix=$GNUNET_PREFIX 
--with-gnunet=$GNUNET_PREFIX
...snip..

configure: error: gnunet-gtk requires GNUnet
