SuSE Linux 6.4 and Gnustep

I have a new installation of SuSE Linux 6.4
I downloaded gunstep-core
I typed ./configure

I Got an error message saying Objective-C headers were missing and to make
sure I have the complete gcc compiler.
I have whatever came with SuSE 6.4.

gcc -v reports 2.95.2

What do I have to do to be able to build gnustep ?
