Yes, I fixated on the Objective-C part. In that case, why not use a Makefile, like this?
# GNUstep Makefiles include $(GNUSTEP_MAKEFILES)/common.make
TOOL_NAME = MyTool MyTool_OBJC_FILES = main.m fraction.m
include $(GNUSTEP_MAKEFILES)/tool.make
