Hello GNUstepers,
I've recently emerged GNUstep on Gentoo and I had lots of troubles, I couldn't
get any application to run. The thing is the default backend was not set
properly, even when I've run the script to set it. After a while I've found
that instead of just creating a directory /home/pupeno/GNUstep/ for some
tasks it was creating /home/pupeno/~/GNUstep. As you can guess, this lead to
madness. I've reported it as a bug to GNUstep, but in the meanwhile, I've
workarround it by:
ln -s /home/pupeno "~"
If you run into similar problems, that line may help you as well, be sure to
delete "~" before.
