Hi Daniel, Thanks so much for the information. I will install GNU TLS 2.6.0.
Yes, I am using Cygwin. Can I install it on linux if that's easier? I followed the link http://cygwin.com/packages/gnutls/ and tried to download the following: # gnutls-2.4.1-1 # gnutls-2.4.1-1-src But, the links further in # gnutls-2.4.1-1 are not enabled. So, the error I got is as follows: ================================================================================= /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -Wall -o libgcrypt.la -rpath /usr/l ocal/lib -version-info 12:1:1 libgcrypt_la-misc.lo libgcrypt_la-global.lo libgc rypt_la-sexp.lo libgcrypt_la-stdmem.lo libgcrypt_la-secmem.lo libgcrypt_la-missi ng-string.lo libgcrypt_la-module.lo libgcrypt_la-ath.lo ../cipher/libcipher.la . ./mpi/libmpi.la -L/usr/local/lib -lgpg-error *** Warning: This system can not link to static lib archive /usr/local/lib/libgp g-error.la. *** I have the capability to make that library automatically link in when *** you link to this library. Is there a reason not to use the prebuilt cygwin gnutls packages? http://cygwin.com/packages/gnutls/ Also, GnuTLS 2.2 is fairly old. You might prefer a more recent version. Please make sure that you track the project, though, as the current security advisory dust settles.
