Tom, I wrote much of the Grub2 community doc, much of it based on user experience and experimentation. Unfortunately I'll be on vacation for the next two weeks starting tomorrow. I know that is poor planning on my part - or maybe not as I'm sure the questions on Grub2 will be numerous.
There are many users on the Ubuntu forums who have become knowledgeable about Grub2 and I'm sure they will be very helpful in the next few weeks. There haven't been many other contributors to this document and there are several areas of Grub2 I know little or nothing about, such as RAID and USB booting. I encourage and remind everyone that https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2 is not supposed to be a single author product and encourage others to expand and improve it. If there are major areas of the community doc that need my attention I will be glad to address them when I return. Otherwise, I'm off to the Pacific beaches without a computer.
