Hi :) 

Some chap was trying to fix a Ubuntu/Win7 dual-boot.  


I got it by fixing the Win7 boot, using these and other instructions and then 
fudging it

Before reinstalling the Win7 boot-loader from the Windows command-line i had to 
take care to set which the "Active" partition was (which one the command-line 
saw as being the bootable partition) and then doing the instructions to boot 
Win7.  


After that i reinstalled Grub2 and everything worked by magic
