I installed grub2 from the tar file downloaded from your repository. I attached
two files for the image as captured by camera named grub.jpg and the grub
background image named Hortensia-1.tga.

Yes i have the same result for all resolutions. Could you please tell me what
grub version do you have?
I tried on physical system (Dell Latitude E5404 - Intel card - UEFI
mode) and it looks OK as well. So I'm afraid it is hardware dependent.
Current git master and Ubuntu 2.02~beta2-9ubuntu1.3.
What do you think if i install grub-1.99 located here ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/grub/
instead of the current version grub2.00?>
