Not quite. Sector 2 contains the begining of the main GPT partition
table (partition entries).
though the partitioning software (gdisk, and gparted) state that partition
1 starts at sector 2048.
Because this is where the partition contents actually starts.
The partition at sector 2048 has an EFI directory
structure, and includes the grubx64.efi file.
Then this is plain wrong. Such partition should have the "EFI system
partition" GUID, not "BIOS boot" GUID.
