Hi
I am trying to use GSL on an i686 linux pc.
I ran the configure script prefixing my own path rather than default:
'configure --prefix=<my/dir/path>' followed by
'make'
'make check' and
'make install'.

All the steps were completed without any errors.

Then i checked my/dir/path/bin for executables and it has three files:
gsl-config
gsl-histogram
gsl-randist

Of these typing only the first gives usage options, the other two return
'error while loading shared libraries: libgsl.so.0: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory'

Now this file libgsl.so.0 lies in my/dir/path/lib but the bin files cannot
read it. Is it because i need to change my path? I did put the my/dir/path/lib
into my path, but the same error comes again.

How should i make these executables run?
How should i test whether the the installation is complete, becoz I need to
integrate GSL with RunSBML.

Please help.
thanks
gy
