Version 1.8.3 of rb-gsl is from spring 2006. Do you really want to
install such an old version? Moreover, what is your environment
(Linux?)? In that case, cou can follow the instruction from http://rb-
gsl.rubyforge.org/#3
Note: you need the gsl library to be installed already. This can be
accomplished by:
tar xfz gsl-*.tar.gz
cd gsl-*
./configure
make
make install
