GSL users: Patrick indicated to me that patches to autotools files such as "configure" are difficult to maintain. I agree. I filed an upstream patch request with GNU libtool, to try to permanently fix the Mac dynamic_lookup warnings. I welcome any feedback about this, either here or on the libtool ticket.
