Ah, I missed this part... hm, that's interesting.  I suspected a silly
64-bit related problem, since I haven't really tested shishi/gss at
all on such platforms, but it seems weird that optimizations makes it
go away, and that not all 64-bit platforms is affected.  But still it
is the most likely reason.

cf.sf.net is down due to a power spike since a few days...  when back
online, they have two amd64's available, and I'll debug it there.
