The reason is that, after you made the last profile, you ran `guix pull`. Some package that is used to build profiles was updated in the `guix pull` and now, to make a new profile, you need to use that updated package. There are profile hooks that do things like build the man page database, and maybe those packages were updated. Does that make sense?
