Hello Guix Help,

I'm having an issue where it stalls when I shut down or reboot. In my particular setup, even after I've minimized services and other possible confounding factors involved. I would send a log, but I'm unsure how I would even collect a log for this particular issue. Recently, I tried to roll over my logs and then immediately shut down to see if I could nail it down, but it didn't log anything until I booted the server back up. Unfortunately, this has led to me using REISUB when I have no other choice, which isn't ideal since I'll be out of the country later this month.

Advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

As I learnt not too long ago, Guix logs to tty12, so maybe switch to tty12
immediately after executing shutdown, or reboot:

sudo chvt 12 ; sleep 5; sudo shutdown

You can also record your screen with camera while above command-sequence
executes to capture any log messages which quickly scrolled off.
