Subset of packages from a channel

Hi Folks,

I'd like to use one or two specific free software binary packages 
from
the non-guix channel but avoid seeing the other non-guix packages 
show
up in `guix search` and `guix pull --news --details`.
Is there a way to see just a subset of packages from a channel?

I'd ideally prefer not to have to duplicate and manually maintain
package versions in my own channel.
