Hello,I have a few old Sun Fire servers that I would like to put Guix System on to run some local services. Given that they're from 2007-2008 and have CPUs that don't support SSE4, I'm worried that some (many?) of the substituted packages (as well as packages built on other more recent machines) won't run correctly.
What I'd like to do is tell Guix to build an image with --march=core2, but there does not appear to be an option anywhere for that. The ever-so-unreliable computerized assistants are telling me to make a channel with a meta-module that rewrites every package to use that tuning option, but that seems like a less-than-elegant solution.
Is there a way to do this? Are there any prior discussions along this general line?
