Hello!,

I would like to get some insights for a clean usage of
restic-backup-service with btrfs.

This is my situation: I have a given directory that I want to backup
using restic (this part is perfectly managed with the
restic-backup-service). Before doing so I would like to freeze this
directory and backup the frozen dir (it is a btrfs subvolume and just
making an snapshot would be enough). Since restic-backup-service has
not hook option integrated on it, in your opinion, what would be the
cleanest/standard way to achieve so?

I had some ideas but I do not manage to like any of them completely.
- to write a whole new service and do not make any use of
restic-backup-service (problems: I do not consider myself skillful
  enough)
- (since the directory is being snapshotted periodically by a shepherd
timer) to use the last of a list of periodic snapshots (problems: not
clear what happen if at the moment restic is backingup the timer
generates a new snapshot?)

Thanks as usual for your help.

Best regards,

Diego.
