That is also what I thought... I am doing this with Guix system now ;-) It is much faster to have a few versions of this file and to move a symlink to the one to be used when moving around with my laptop between the home network and work, say, than to reconfigure every time. One option would be to delete /etc/guix/machines.scm only if it is a symlink to /gnu/store (or whatever the Guix installation uses as the store). Andreas
