Yes you are right, that is an oversight we should fix with our kicad
guix package. Nice find! I will work on an update to address the problem
and then submit a pull request. Thank you!

Hi, Peter!
In summary, in Kicad 10, whenever I pressed the "Plugin and Content Manager"
button from the main menu, Kicad would receive a SIGTRAP. I tracked down the
problem to a missing org.gnome.system.proxy schema, which is available in the
gsettings-desktop-schemas package. After installing this package, I'm able to
use all of the Kicad functionality without a problem so far.
It's not a problem with Kicad problem, and honestly, I don't even think it's a
problem with the Kicad package, but rather a missing dependency upstream the
dependency tree that hasn't been caught (since it would be weird to me that
Kicad would depend explicitly from this specific component of GNOME)
Thanks,
Dani.

What problem did you find? Is it a problem with the kicad source code or with
our Guix packages of it? I would be happy to help fix it since I use kicad
frequently.

Hello, help-guix!
I've discovered a problem with Kicad starting with version 10 some months ago,
and today
I've tracked down the problem and I think I've solved it. Since I'm not at all
confident
enough to open an issue, I wanted to discuss it here first and see your opinion.
Maybe this rings a bell for Peter ?
