If you have fedora+guix you can create an installer image from guix system
image, copy it to a USB drive and then use that right?
Unfortunately that does not seem to work due to
https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/issues/7373
At least, I got stuck at that exact point when I tried this path.
There are several ways forward being worked on, both long-term and
short-term. E.g.:
- Fix the above mentioned issue. See also
https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/issues/7690 and more.
- Backport the security patches to 1.5.x:
https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/pulls/11832
- (Temporarily) switch back to Guile 3.0.9:
https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/pulls/11778 ,
https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/pulls/11806
But I don't think there is consensus on what the best approach is, and
I'm not aware of any of them working well enough to get an installation
up and going. (Someone please correct me there!)
