guix home

Hi,

I have not used "guix home" yet.


I installed all packages through: "guix install..."

My problem is that open in KDE Desktop the dolphin/the directories and file manager

and want to open a libreoffice document
then it points to an older libreoffice version in gnu store
and I can´t open that file with libreoffice.

It seems that the new upgraded versions of a programme do not automatically point to the updated store file.


If I use "guix home" and install every package through guix home
will it be different, that in a file manager or in the app starter /GUI

all the shown packages are updated automatically and they point to the right store file?


If so, I have to use Guix home in future.
