Me too, though maybe not going so far.

Which has more or less been a premise of mine. Hurd has the right
architecture, and it is pristine and fluid enough that we can mould it into
what we want.
I don't know if I'm in the minority of this list in advocating great open
source media applications on the desktop and would like a good grounding
geared towards supporting them. Is this so?
