Other (non-posix) branches of Hurd

I wonder if there're any of other development branches of Hurd? E.g.
non-posix. Are there any OS-devel projects based on Hurd? I've got some
ideas to make a completely different OS (Yes, I know, there're billions of
experimental OSes. Adding another one wouldn't change the situation :-)
