Hello from Gregg C Levine I'm nowhere near that phase, that is the subject entry, "Booting the HURD", but I do need to ask this question. Have the methods behind booting the HURD changed any since the GRUB maintainers started including a "sample menu" file in their distributed tar files? The one I'm using contains a menu entry for the HURD, and naturally I'll change some parameters to match my system, but I thought I'd ask.
I have examined Neal H. Walfield's excellent guide to installing and setting up the HURD from the Debian point of view, CF http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/hurd-install and his own version of the facts, http://web.walfield.org/pub/people/neal/papers/hurd-installation-guide /english/hurd-install-guide.html (The Debian one mentions that it is based on the original one described there.) And the both of them, are indeed well written, and easy to use. But I just had to ask that question. ------------------- Gregg C Levine [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------ "The Force will be with you...Always."
