As you are talking about binaries, I guess you mean Debian GNU/Hurd. Well, as long as you have networking going (or at least a networked GNU/Linux installation on the same box), you can install with about any method (ISO, tarball, crosshurd) and upgrade from there. > i used to use the crosshurd package, but i remember someone saying on > teh lists that it was getting outdated No, the tarballs generated from it get outdated.
