   Not at all.  Linux (and Hurd) enumerate on the basis of IDE
   connections, the BIOS usually just gives out numbers.  If there is
   no hda, then hdb is indeed (hd0) for grub (which listens to the
   BIOS).

Eech... One more thing to the list I hate about some things.
