        I think most of the developers will need more information to debug
        what the problem is, like perhaps an error trace, versions, etc.
        
        But you can always just download and install the cygwin GNU tools
        which includes a prebuilt version of GNU make. You can get cygwin from
        http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/. Licensing terms are available from
        http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/licensing.html.
