BLDDATE= $(shell $(CCASE_HOME)/bin/cleartool.exe desc -fmt %d $(BLDNUMFILE)) The only disadvantage with this is that every time we install clearcase to a different location then someone manually needs to change the variable. Maybe down the road i can find some better way to handle that case too. Till then, I am documenting this ISSUE in the Makefile and for the time being this works for me.
