You seem to be confused. gmake does not issue warnings. Your compiler
does. Please ask people knowledgeable about your compiler. Yes, it is
often possible to disable specific warnings. If you happen to use gcc,
read the docs by running 'info gcc'. If that does not work, complain to
whoever forgot to install the docs.
