Dear all, I am looking for a way to add sounds to different events while building. Because I might build things in the background, it would be nice if make "reports" to me when it finished or an error occurred.
It is very simple to add a sound when the built is successful - by adding play command in the end of the building block. But I could not find anywhere a way to handle make errors. I have looked in the manual of Make and in the mailing list archive and could not find how to do this. Obviously I can wrap make with whatever other application to catch those errors, but I would imagine there is a way to handle make errors within make. Any suggestions? I am not a member in this list, so I will appreciate it if you cc the reply to me. Thanks, Rani _______________________________________________ Help-make mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/help-make
