I did it on Solaris 9 a good while back now. No solaris 10 machines
to try this out on now....

IIRC, I think it was something like
$ ./configure --with-diff=/usr/local/bin/gdiff
Hopefully you'll get more accurate answers from someone else...
If not, does `./configure --help` give any clues?
