You would probably get better help by asking on the cygwin user mailing list instead. http://cygwin.com/lists.html When reporting problems please always include the version of the tool you are reporting against. Also include enough detail sufficient to recreate the problem. For example in the above you say you have a ,v file that is already 1MB in size. Therefore I must assume that this is an additional commit and not an initial commit but you don't say. Also since it is MS-Windows it is important to note whether the files are text or binary. As an additional commit you will need to make sure that 'diff' is available and up to date too and is also GNU diff. 'ci' calls 'diff' to generate the delta. I suspect that diff is failing for you.
