Applied and pushed. Is this now used in inetutils?
Yes, in case the user is not supplying the client executable with an explicit realm, the code in libinetutils or libtelnet will place a call to shishi_realm_for_server() acting on the desired server name. This is then passed to shishi_realm_default_set(), thus providing the mechanism for the configuration file to determine the realm to be used. Thus rcp, rlogin, rsh and telnet are supposed to be functional! The change was pushed to GNU Inetutils on August, 20th. This lookup was satisfactory for the systems mentioned above, where the only difference to the present libshishi HEAD was the use of the patch for detection of "resolv.h" and res_query(), a suggestion that is still being evaluated by yourself, but is needed for FreeBSD and all other BSDs.
