Hello,
as reported on http://bugs.debian.org/477312 GNU Smalltalk 3.0a fails
to build from source on ia64.
Applying the patch from [1] does not solve the failure. The
testsuite.dir is available from [2]. I'm currently trying to dig this a
little further.
