[Help-smalltalk] patch: make gst actually able to connect to postgres

PQconnectdb in libpq doesn't cope if we pass extra arguments that it doesn't understand. Also, it's perfectly valid to pass no connection parameters, and fold: doesn't cope with an empty collection. Patch attached.
