it is worth noting that although there has not been a release since v3.2.5, v3.2.91 should be preferred for any use-case today - there was recent discussion about promoting 3.2.91 to a new stable release - IMHO that release could have been 10 years ago - it has likely been the most widely used version since the v3.2.5 debian package has been broken (GTK) for more than a decade now - in that time, the solution to most bug reports from debian users has been to upgrade to v3.2.91, as arch and other distros had been doing for most of that decade - more recently, IIRC debian, arch and others dropped support for GTK2, which is why even v3.2.91 no longer has GUI support on most distros - but i would still prefer it as the most advanced state of the art
