Greetings, since quite some time I'm regulatly running incremental backups using
tar -c --listed-incremental="..." ... As far as I can tell, the decission of whether or not a file should be included in the current backup is based on its "ctime" value. Without wanting to start a discussion about the benefits of using "ctime" rather than "mtime", I would just like to know whether it's possible at all to instruct "tar" to use "mtime" for incremental backups.
