If you want the different margins and different text areas, yes, of course.
A DVI file says to put marks at certain positions on the page.
You don't have to change the *source*. But you have to regenerate the
output.
I thought that if the output file avoided specifying paper size,
then it could be printed on either size paper.
If you say to use @afourpaper, the result will not look good on letter
paper, clearly -- it will fall off the bottom. I doubt the letter
formatting will look good on a4, either, but I've never tried it.
As Bob said, you could print smallbook on anything, but it wastes a lot
of paper (sorry, Bob :); `has *very* generous margins, if you prefer :).
Or are you saying I should explicitly set the page size to 11.5in using
@pageparams?
