I'd like to add the capability to embed images in a texinfo document; this is
evidently on the TODO list for texinfo.
Using LaTeX, it's fairly straightforward to implement this. My question is,
can I depend on LaTeX (is it even possible to use LaTeX macros from within
texinfo, or am I limited only to TeX commands), or would I have to extract the
appropriate macro definitions from the LaTeX 'graphics' package and add them
to texinfo.tex?
