We have run into a time sync appliance (that uses GPS signals to set the time)
that doesn’t speak (not willingly, at least) NTP v2. It will speak NTP v4.
Alas, check_ntp_peer does not seem to speak NTP v4, but only v2. check_ntp
(which claims that it is deprecated) does speak v4, as does check_ntp_time, but
check_ntp_time is meant for comparing the local clock’s offset.

So … any plans to update check_ntp_peer to do its thing using NTP v4?
