Cats and kittens everywhere and no where to take them. Houses are being torn down with them living inside and can't get to them in time. Last litter I picked up were perfectly fine but I must have brought the upper respitory home after tending to some sick kittens and they have been gravely ill. Spend over $550 on them since Saturday and they are no better. Exhausted and don't sleep but other than that, I am perfectly fine!!! Katrina has been an absolute nightmare with no help or end in site. We are struggling to keep our heads above water but sometimes I feel like we are kidding ourselves. The more you do, the more that there is to do. New Orleans area is still devastated from Katrina. Houses are being demoed, people have not returned. One area was not allowed entrance till 7-8 months after storm. People assume their pets are dead or picked up. We have to continue to feed as the areas are still not populated at all. New Orleans is a horrenduous place for these poor animals that were once lap cats. We cannot find the owners of the ones we are feeding and cannot find the cats of the owners that are still looking.
