"Lola" is a 6 month old pit in New Orleans. She was brought to Anne Bell at SAF
because her femur had been shattered by a nasty boyfriend with a baseball bat.
He was mad at her for urinating on the floor. She was 8 weeks old at the time.
The leg injury was 2 weeks old by the time the guy's girlfriend brought Lola in
to Anne. The surgery required was extensive but Anne paid for everything,
including weeks of painful physical therapy. Lola has lived at Anne's clinic
ever since and has missed out on transports because she is a pit.
The precious Pit Bull girl has NO aggression issues. She loves, kids, cats and
other dogs. If you or someone you know can help, we can make arrangements to
have her flown to your area within 3 days. Time is of the essence with her as
there are no laws or anyone who cares enough to protect her from the original
hell she lived - her only chance is for us to help her get out. If we do not
move her soon they will be forced to return her to her original owners - the
people who abused her. We cannot let another 2 weeks pass or we will lose this
one. We need a safe haven - foster care, a forever home, a rescue...some place
safe. But NOT IN THE NOLA area. Who knows why but her mean owners would like to
have her back, possibly to fight her. Please help LOLA!!! She has
transportation ANYWHERE, she just needs a safe place to stay. I am desperate as
doors have been shut on me for 3 weeks now and I am out of ideas
