Paul McKellips' new novel UNCAGED is a biomedical, military thriller that
explores what happens when animal rights extremism makes the U.S. vulnerable to
an international bioterrorism plot

WASHINGTON, July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Foundation for
Biomedical Research (FBR) announced today its Executive Vice President Paul
McKellips has released a new novel, UNCAGED.
The politically-charged biomedical thriller catapults readers into a
world in which animal rights extremists unlawfully manipulate public
opinion and successfully shut down animal research in the United States,
leaving the country exposed to an international bioterrorism plot that
threatens the lives of the entire population.

"UNCAGED poses a frighteningly realistic 'what if' scenario that will leave
readers on the edge of their seats. UNCAGED
is a standout and thought-provoking page-turner that's destined for the
big screen," says publisher David Lamb, president of Vantage Point
Books in New York.

McKellips has written,
directed and produced three motion pictures and numerous television
shows. He has earned 20 Telly Awards and a 2011 Emmy(R) nomination for
his recent documentary on breast cancer research. McKellips, a native of
Neenah, Wisconsin, served in Iraq as a public affairs specialist and
was embedded with four Iraqi journalists at a remote combat outpost in
the volatile Diyala Province area during the height of "the surge." He
has recently returned from the front lines of Afghanistan, where he
trained the Afghan army and directed and produced a documentary film on
Afghan culture during a five-month assignment through the Department of
Defense. He is also the co-founder of No Greater Sacrifice, a charitable
organization that provides college scholarships to the children of
fallen and wounded U.S. soldiers.

McKellips will be touring
the country this fall to promote his novel and is available for speeches
and media appearances. Please email [email protected] or call 202-457-0654
for more information on booking and interviews.

UNCAGED
is available for purchase in hardcover and paperback at Barnes &
Noble, Borders, Wal-Mart, Target and Amazon, or for a discounted rate at
 fbresearch.org.
