Dear Chris,

We are advertising for a faculty position in experimental
Nuclear/Particle/Astrophysics in the Physics Department here at Yale. This
is an intentionally broad search, and we would be enthusiastic to learn
about outstanding candidates in any of these areas. I should emphasize
that someone doing experimental astrophysics or instrumentation (e.g.
someone doing 21cm) would be an excellent option (i.e. they shouldn’t be
put off by the Nuclear and Particle designations). We would be grateful if
you could bring this to the attention of any strong candidates you know of
and welcome advice on outstanding individuals we should encourage to
apply. We particularly welcome applicants who would increase the diversity
of our department.

An official description of the position can be found here:
  http://apply.interfolio.com/30535 <http://apply.interfolio.com/30535>
and I’ve attached a copy of the advertisement to this message.

Please don’t hesitate to email or call if you would rather discuss this
over the phone.

Many thanks,
Nikhil
