>From what I understand from the model of Heroku, if my Rails app deployed in Heroku needs to work with some other software, I cannot install it in Heroku. I'll have to install it in an external server and provide an API that my Rails app can call. Can anyone confirm this?
Are there commonly used software that Heroku provides so we won't need an external server for them? Is there a list somewhere?
