The best way I have found to use cnames for TLD on GoDaddy is to do the following:
Log into Godaddy Click on Domains -> My Domains Click on YOURDOMAIN.COM Under the Forwarding: section Click on Domain is not forwarded A Window will drop down. Check Enable forwarding Type in the Forward to: box http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com Select 301 Moved Permanently Click OK Now, click on Total DNS Control and MX Records Edit your A (Host) Record: Host: @ Points To: 64.202.189.170 (That's Godaddy's IP to allow forwarding) Then make sure your CName (Aliases) for www is set CName: Host: www Points To: herokugarden.com (is this right?) This will cause all TLD to be forwarded to the www cname. Thoughts? It works on all my sites so far... - Mike --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Heroku" group.
