It would definitely be useful to have a history of backlog depth, to know how the app is going.
At least for a paid app :) BTW, if the app is busy doing an upload, does this consume the dyno? I have static assets being processed by paperclip then passed on to S3 ... that operation takes some considerable seconds: is my dyno held during that time?
